Mark Soltero

Mark’s practice is built around an intense drawing process. Working with hand-drawn and found images that are processed in the computer, transferred and intricately hand traced to produce stencils before paint is applied with squeegees. The final forms, sourced from the light and shadow within cinema spaces that no longer exists, border on dissolution or fragmentation.
Mark is represented by Artfull.online, Chambers Art Gallery, Christchurch and McAtamney Gallery, Geraldine.
